AWOL is a platform that helps pubs, bars, and restaurants attract new and existing customers.

Unlike typical listing or deal apps, AWOL combines verified reviews, personal taste matching, and real-time offers. It rejects fake feedback and sponsored over-ranking; instead, your experience and interactions fuel what you see. Venues don’t “pay to rank” — they compete by offering genuine value.

Use the sign-up screen to choose email, Apple, or Google. The app creates your profile instantly once you authenticate.

You only need a working email or connected Apple/Google ID. No extra details are required at the start.

If you sign up with email, the system may send a verification link. Open it to activate the account fully.

Open the menu panel from the 3 lines in the top left from here click the "taste" page. This is where you control what the app learns about you and what you like.

You can adjust cuisine types, vibes, distance limits, price comfort, and dietary tags. These inputs shape the map you see.

Every change updates your recommendations, pushing venues that fit your profile higher and filtering out irrelevant ones.

The home screen loads the live map. It centres on your location and highlights nearby venues automatically.

Use tag filters to narrow results by cuisine, vibe, or offer type.

Adjust the two distance options in the "settings" page in to widen or tighten the search radius so results match how far you want to walk.
